Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Mr. Pankaj Kumar (Coordinator NSS) and Mrs. Naiya Mahajan (Co-coordinator NSS), an awareness campaign was organized by NSS volunteers on the topic 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' as per the guidelines issued by 'Youth Affairs and Ministry of Sports Govt. of India). Through this campaign NSS Volunteers sensitized the masses regarding the women empowerment, which focuses on the education of girl child and improving sex-ratio in the society. The NSS Volunteers also organized a poster-making campaign to spread awareness on this issue. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the efforts and emphasized that the girls should be given equal respect and opportunity to go ahead in life.
