Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Ritu Goswami (Incharge Botanical Society of the College) and Mr. Pankaj Kumar, Mrs. Naiya Mahajan (Incharge NSS Department), a 'Tree Plantation Drive' was organized in collaboration with Rotary Club, Batala and State Bank of India to promote the green culture in college and to create awareness among the students for environment conservation and protection. On this occasion, some plants containing medicinal value were planted in the college campus.
On this occasion, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla emphasized the need of tree plantation to reduce pollution and other toxic gases in present the atmosphere as it not only helps in making the planet greener, livelier and healthier, but also increases the biodiversity of the particular zone.
