 Home Science Department of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala organized a 'Fireless Cooking' competition 

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and with the support of Mrs. Sunaina Gupta (Home Science Department) a 'Fireless Cooking Competition' was organized in the college campus. The students participated in this event with full zeal and enthusiasm and prepared the recipes like Coconut Banana Laddu, and Oreo Cake, Bread Sandwiches, Bhelpuri, Coconut Laddu and Chaat Papdi. In this competition, Kumari Deepika (B.A. Semester III) and Kumari Mansi (DCA Semester I), Kumari Arpandeep Kaur and Kumari Komalpreet (BA Semester III) and Kumari Sargam and Kumari Navneet Kaur (B.Sc. Semester III) bagged first, second and third positions respectively while Kumari Bhavya Mahajan (B.A. Semester III) got the consolation prize.

On this occasion, Dr. Meenakshi Duggal and Dr. Lucky Sharma acted as judges. At this juncture, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla congratulated the organizers and students and encouraged them to organize such events in future also as these competitions allow people to make healthier choices while providing them nutrition guidelines. Mrs. Kulwinder Kaur, Mrs. Rupali Aggarwal and Ms. Ridhima were also present on this occasion.
