 RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala celebrated the Birth Anniversary of 'Father of the Nation'

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Ms. Neetu Seth (HOD English), Dr. Poonam Rani, Mr. Pankaj Kumar (NSS Coordinator), Mrs. Naiya Mahajan (Co-coordinator) and Ms. Ruchika Verma (Hostel Warden), various activities were organized on the birth anniversary of 'Mahatma Gandhi'. A group discussion was organized under the aegis of 'English Literary Society' on the occasion of 'Gandhi-Jayanti'. In the discussion, the students of Elective English, put forth their views on the basis of his autobiography 'My Experiments with Truth' and threw a search-light on the various aspects and ideologies of 'the father of the Nation' Mohandas Karam Chand Gandhi. On this occasion, NSS volunteers and hostel students organized a 'Cleanliness Drive' in the college campus under 'Swachhta Abhiyan' followed by a poem recitation event, dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi. The hostellers also organized a prayer meet to pay their tributes and took a pledge to adopt and follow the ideologies and principals of the 'Father of the Nation' throughout their lives. Principal, Dr. Ekta Khosla, congratulated the participants and organizers for conducting these wonderful events, and emphasized to practice his teachings of embracing truth and simplicity in our lives also.
