 Second day of the Faculty Development Programme on the topic 'Ethics for Teachers' organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal (IQAC Coordinator) and Dr. Lucky Sharma (FDP Convener), 'Ten-day Hybrid mode Faculty Development Programme' (from 23rd November to 3rd December, 2022) on 'Preparedness of NEP-2020' started in the college campus. 

On the second day of the virtual FDP, Dr. Lucky Sharma formally welcomed the Keynote Speaker Dr. Rekha Sood Handa, Principal, Gopi Chand Arya Mahila College, Abohar, who shared her views on the topic 'Ethics for Teachers' and discussed various reasons of deterioration of the modern education system by comparing it with 'Ancient Vedic Education' comprising of famous universities like 'Takshila and Nalanda'. She also added that the synchronization of the ethics with the professionalism is required to eradicate certain errors of various societal and mental stresses. She also suggested that the ethics mentioned in 'NEP-2020' 'National Profession Standards for Teachers' must be consulted for developing ethics among the students and teaching fraternity. All the faculty members participated in this FDP with full zeal and enthusiasm.

Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, appreciated the pedagogies discussed by the Resource Person for the holistic growth of the institution and added that learning is an endless journey which encompasses loyalty, dutifulness, empathy and dissemination of knowledge which continuous to the last breath. At last, Dr. Meenakshi Duggal extended her felicitations on the behalf of Principal and entire teaching fraternity for providing this wonderful learning opportunity in this session.
