RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala conducted 'Havan Yajna' to mark the beginning of the New Semester 

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal (Coordinator) and Dr. Lucky Sharma (Dean Student Welfare), 'Havan Yajna' was conducted to mark the beginning of New Semester. On this occasion, Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, Chairman of Local Advisory Committee along with his wife Smt. Anu Kawatra graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Member of Local Advisory Committee Sh. Vinod Sachdeva and Sh. Ashwani Marwaha made a special appearance. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla formally welcomed the eminent guests with green planters.

Amidst the Vedic Chantings and Shlokas, the Prayers were offered for the welfare of the nation and the world by worshiping Lord Agnidev. While addressing the students, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla propounded the importance of havan yajna and emphasized that its high energetic vibrations bring positivity, conviction and compliance in the atmosphere. She added that the college is committed to provide better facilities to the students and emphasized on working hard for better opportunities and wonderful achievements in the upcoming year. On this occasion, Dr. Meenakshi Duggal also congratulated the students for the new semester and provided detailed information about various skill courses of 30 hours and advised them to join these courses for their skill enhancement. She thanked the Omnipresent for the achievements of the previous years and also prayed for peace and prosperity of this year. Mr. Sameer Mahajan presented a beautiful hymn on this occasion.

At this juncture, Smt. Anu Kawatra congratulated the gathering on the beginning of new semester and praised Madam Principal for her wonderful leadership and efforts for women empowerment. After this, Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, motivated the team of the college for working together with new zeal and enthusiasm to explore new heights of success. He expressed his gratitude to the entire DAV Managing Committee, New Delhi, for their continuous guidance and support. On this occasion, quarterly E-newsletter Vol. 43 and Vol. 44 of the college was also released. Dr. Lucky Sharma presented a formal vote of thanks. On this occasion, the faculty and staff members were also present.
