200th birth anniversary of Swami Dayananda Saraswati celebrated at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, the 200th Birth Anniversary of Swami Dayananda Saraswati was celebrated in the college campus. A Havan Yajna was organized in the college yagyashala. The college was decorated with flowers and lights and 'Om Dhawaj' was hoisted on this occasion. The teachers and students expressed their gratitude to the staunch Indian philosopher, social leader and founder of Arya Samaj, Maharishi Dayananda Saraswati Ji. While sharing her views Madam Principal stated that apart from spreading vedic ideals, Swami ji contributed for promoting the equal rights for women education and stressed on the promotion of learning and education. His ideology and life struggle will always be a source of inspiration for the future generations. After this, the staff members joined the 'Shobha Yatra' organized by 'Arya Pradeshik Pratinidhi Upsabha, Punjab' at Amritsar which started from DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar to Arya Samaj, Shakti Nagar, Amritsar. Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee also joined the 'Shobha Yatra'.
