 ‘National Science Day’ Celebrated at 

RR Bawa DAV College For Girls, Batala

Under the Patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and Under the able guidance of Mrs. Ekta Bhandari (Coordinator) and Dr. (Mrs.) Ritu Goswami (Convener), ‘National Science Day’, on the theme of ‘Global Science for Global Wellbeing’, was celebrated in the College to mark the discovery of the Raman Effect by Indian Physicist Sir C.V Raman. 

 On this occasion, various activities were conducted to showcase the hidden talents of the students. In Slogan writing competition, Ms. Palak got first position while Ms. Amandeep Kaur and Ms. Salma Akhtar bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In Essay writing competition, Ms. Mehardeep Kaur got first position while Ms. Agrima and Ms. Diljit Kaur bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In Poster Making competition, Ms. Garima got first position while Ms. Rajneesh and Ms. Arsh bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. In Working Model    competition, Ms. Shriya and Ms. Sparshika jointly got first positions while Ms. Navreet, Ms. Manmeet and Ms. Harpriya and Ms. Surpreet and Ms. Chetandeep bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively. Dr. V.K. Sharma, renowned Chemistry teacher of city was specially invited.

Addressing the gathering on this occasion Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the scientist Community for playing a significant role in catering to our scientific needs and urged the students to develop the scientific approach and temperament for the upliftment of society and Community. On this occasion Mr. Anil Gupta, Ms. Ridhima, Ms. Sunidhi, Mrs. Vaani and Ms. Rinku Malhi were also present.
