 'Tree Plantation Drive' organized on 'World Environment Day' at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the patronge of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Mrs. Ekta Bhandari (Incharge Eco Club), a 'Tree Plantation Drive' was organized to commemorate 'World Environment Day' in the college campus to promote the theme ‘Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience.’

On this occasion Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, along with the faculty members and students, planted saplings in the college premises. Expressing her views at this juncture, she emphasized that trees promote health and social wellbeing by removing air pollution, reducing stress, encouraging physical activity and promoting social ties among the communities. She also motivated to plant various species of trees for the protection and purification of the environment. On this occasion Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Dr. Ritu Goswami and other faculty members were also present.
