 ‘KARGIL VIJAY DIWAS’ Celebrated  at  RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the Partronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, and under the guidance of Mrs. Simranjit Kaur (Care taker NCC Unit) Kargil Vijay Diwas was celebrated with unparalleled fervour and dedication at War Memorial Dera Baba Nanak (Near RR Bawa DAV College for Girls) on 26 July, 2024 in collaboration with 1st Punjab Girls Battalion NCC / Amritsar Group / PHHP&C Directorate. This momentous occasion was marked by the spirited participation of 40 courageous NCC cadets and their unwavering enthusiasm was a fitting tribute to the extraordinary bravery and selfless sacrifice of our martyrs of the Kargil War.

With hearts full of reverence, these dedicated cadets and staff came together to honour the memory of the fallen heroes. They engaged in a heartwarming cleanup of the surrounding area and the statue of Shaheed Subedar Ran Bahadur Khatri, a warrior who laid down his life for the Nation. This act of service was not just a chore but a deeply meaningful gesture, embodying the spirit of sacrifice and patriotism. The ceremony, brimming with respect and admiration, featured an inspiring introductory speech that highlighted the monumental significance of the Kargil War and celebration of the indomitable valour of our brave soldiers. The cadets then visited the War Memorial, a hallowed ground of remembrance and enjoyed refreshments - a small token of appreciation for their own dedication and respect.

Expressing her views on this occasion, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla congratulated the cadets and participants for participating in vibrant poster making competitions and paid her tribute to the war heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, ensuring that the legacy of bravery and selflessness continues to   inspire the future generations.
