 The students of Home Science Department along with NSS volunteers of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala visited Community Kitchen 

Under the stewardship of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Mr. Pankaj Kumar (NSS Coordinator), Mrs. Harpreet Aneja and Mrs. Sunaina Gupta (Department of Home Science and Clinical Nutrition), the students visited Flye Sahib Gurudwara. They paid their tributes in Gurudwara Sahib and visited the community kitchen 'Langar', where food is provided to everyone irrespective of their caste, class, religion and gender. The attendants told the students and NSS volunteers about the food prepared in the kitchen is simple and nutritious consisting of phulka, daal, vegetable and kheer. They showed large utensils of Langar House and emphasized on the importance of cleanliness during the preparation of Langar. They provided information about the Gurudwara premises and the students exhibited great enthusiasm during this visit.
