As part of the Skill Enhancement Program, students from Government Senior Secondary School, Qila Tek Singh visited skill based labs of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala to gain practical exposure to creative and vocational skills in Fashion Designing, Cosmetology and Home Science.








 As part of the Skill Enhancement Program, students from Government Senior Secondary School, Qila Tek Singh visited skill based labs of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala to gain practical exposure to creative and vocational skills in Fashion Designing, Cosmetology and Home Science.

During the visit, students were introduced to various aspects of fashion design, including fabric knowledge, basic sketching, garment construction techniques, surface ornamentation and sustainable design practices. Live demonstrations and interactive sessions helped students understand how creativity, technology and craftsmanship come together in the fashion industry.

Faculty members guided the students through departmental facilities, showcasing design studios, sewing labs and student projects, while encouraging them to explore fashion as a potential career option. The visit aimed to bridge the gap in skill-based learning by providing hands-on exposure in a professional academic environment.
