'Book Langar' on 'International Mother Language Day' observed at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala
Under the stewardship of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Lucky Sharma (Head, PG Department of Punjabi), 'Book Langar' on 'International Mother Language Day' was observed in the college campus. On this occasion, 'Punjabi Books' Langar' was arranged for students and Punjabi readers with the support of Punjabi Lok-Likhari Manch, Batala. Dr. Ravinder graced the occasion as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the ceremony. At this juncture, he encouraged the students for preserving the rich cultural heritage, traditions and vibrant Punjabi literature. Dr. Anup Singh, President (Lok-Likhari Manch, Batala), Sh. Vargas Salamat along with other dignitaries were present at this juncture.
While sharing her views Officiating Principal Dr. Meenakshi Duggal appreciated this initiative taken by 'Punjabi Lok-Likhari Manch' for the promotion and dissemination of Mother Language. She further hoped that this initiative would be beneficial for the students in getting connected and acquainted with Punjabi Language. On this occasion Mrs. Kulwinder Kaur, Dr. Navneet Kaur, Mrs. Navjot Kaur, Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, Mrs. Rajwant Kaur and Ms. Opinder Kaur were also present.
