 B.Sc. (Medical) Students attended Academic Workshop on Nutritional Management 

Under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Mrs. Harpreet Aneja students of B.Sc. Medical (Sem. II & IV) actively attended the Academic Workshop on Nutritional Management of Gastrointestinal Disorders 2026 at Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences, Amritsar. The resource person, Ms. Ritu Sudhakar (RD), Chief Dietitian at DMC, Ludhiana, guided the students regarding specialized Nutritional Care and Managing Therapeutic Diet Charts to ensure the speedy recovery of the patients. The workshop provided valuable insights into nutritional strategies for liver disorders, IBS management, celiac disease, gut-brain connection, and therapeutic nutrition practices.

This workshop proved to be an excellent learning opportunity for the students to enhance their understanding of clinical nutrition and GI disorders. They also gained exposure to expert talks by renowned dietitians and medical professionals. 

At this juncture, Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal stated that such academic engagements bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world clinical practice, empowering students with updated knowledge and professional confidence. She also motivated the students for higher studies and professional growth in clinical nutrition and further guided them to obtain practical and research-oriented approach towards nutritional management. At this juncture, the students were accompanied by Ms. Hansika Khosla, whose guidance and support made the learning experience more enriching and interactive.
