"Kaushal Mela: A Roadmap to Sustainable Entrepreneurship Viksit Bharat@2047" organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala organized "Kaushal Mela: A Roadmap to Sustainable Entrepreneurship Viksit Bharat@2047", under the aegis of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal and under the able guidance of Mrs. Ekta Bhandari (Programme Coordinator) & Dr. Hardeep Kaur (Programme Convenor) in the college premises. Mrs. Anu Kawatra graced the occasion as Chief Guest and Mrs. Monika Marwaha graced the occasion as Guest of Honour. At this juncture, various events i.e. Nail Art Competition, Mehandi Competition, Poster Making Competition, Slogan Writing Competition, Model (Working and Still) Competition, Table Decoration Competition along with other various skill-oriented activities were organized to promote vocational skills, creativity and enterprise among the students. 

The students from different departments participated in these events to exhibit their projects, art, crafts and practical demonstrations through various still and working models also.

In Nail Art Competition Kumari Mohpreet Kaur and Kumari Parveen Kaur (Dip. in Cosmetology Sem. II) got first and second prizes. In Mehandi Competition Kumari Kiranjot Kaur (Dip. in Cosmetology Sem. II), Kumari Komalpreet Kaur (M.Sc. FD Sem. II) and Kumari Navdeep Kaur scored first, second and third prizes. In Slogan Writing Competition Kumari Pushpinder (BA Sem. VI) got first prize, Kumari Sneha (B.Sc. Non-Med.- Sem. VI) got second prize while Kumari Kritika (BA Sem. II) and Kumari Varinder (B.Sc. Medical Sem. IV) scored third prizes jointly.  Kumari Neetu (MA Hindi Sem. II) and Kumari Gurleen (B.Sc. Medical Sem. VI) received Appreciation Award. In Poster Making Competition Kumari Sumiksha (B.Sc. Non-Med. Sem. VI) and Kumari Aarti (BA Sem. II Sec. A) bagged first prize, Kumari Ektapreet, Kumari Muskanpreet (B.Sc. Non-Med. Sem. II) and Kumari Sandeep (MA Hindi Sem. IV) bagged second prize, Kumari Navneet Kaur (B.Sc. Med. Sem. IV), Kumari Pooja Devi (B.Sc. Eco. Sem. II) bagged third prize while Kumari Tamanna (M.Sc. IT Sem. II), Kumari Navreet (B.Sc. Med. Sem. II), Kumari Muskan, Kumari Prabhjot Kaur (M.Sc. Math Sem. II) and Kumari Prabhjot (B.Sc. Non-Med. Sem. II) got Appreciation Award.  In Model (Working) Competition Kumari Manjot Kaur, Harmanpreet Kaur, Jashandeep Kaur (B.Sc. Med. Sem. II) got first prize, Kumari Manpreet Kaur, Mehakpreet Kaur, Simranjit Kaur, Pawandeep Kaur, Riya, Navita (BCA Sem. VI) got second prize, Kumari Nisha Khosla, Jasmeen (M.Sc. Mathematics Sem. II), Kumari Girisha Ranchal, Komalpreet, Bibekpreet (B.Sc. Med. Sem. IV) got third position while Kumari Fiza Sharma, Palakdeep, Jaspreet Kaur (B.Sc. Non-Med. Sem. VI) received Appreciation Award. In Model (Still) Competition Kumari Ruksana Peter (B.Sc. Med. Sem. II) got first prize, Kumari Japji Kaur, Palakparneet Kaur (BCA Sem. II) got second prize, Kumari Pawni, Ashu Sofat (M.Sc. Mathematics Sem. II), Gursharan Kaur, Gurleen Kaur, Navneet Kaur, Manveer Kaur (B.Sc. Med. Sem. IV) got third prize while Kumari Samiti, Sneha, Anmol (B.Sc. Non-Med. Sem. VI) received Appreciation Award. In Model Making Competition Kumari Pawanpreet Kaur, Ravneet, Komal, Harshdeep (B.Com. Sem. II) got first prize, Kumari Komalpreet, Pawandeep, Kusum, Komaldeep, Arshdeep (B.Com Sem. VI) got second prize, Kumari Manpreet Kaur, Komalpreet, Gurleen (M.Com Sem. IV), Manveen, Payal, Sneha (M.Com. Sem. II) got third prize while Kumari Rajwant Kaur, Gagandeep (MA Punjabi Sem. II), Aarti, Sarbjeet, Mehak (BA Sem. II) received Appreciation Award. In Sustainable Entrepreneurship M.Sc. (Mathematics Sem. II and IV), B.Com Sem. IV bagged first prize, B.Sc. (Medical) Sem. II and B.Sc. (Non-Medical) Sem. II bagged second prize, BCA Sem. II and BA Sem. II bagged third prize while B.Com Sem. II, B.Sc. (FD) Sem. IV, Dip. in Stitching & Tailoring Sem. II received Appreciation Award.

On this occasion, Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal encouraged the students to participate in these types of learning opportunities with an aim to empower youth, bridge the skill gap so that they may validate their expertise and enhance their employment prospects in future endeavours.
