Under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, RR Bawa DAV Collegiate Girls Sr. Sec. School, Batala and under the guidance of Mrs. Ekta Bhandari (Incharge School Section) and Dr. Lucky Sharma (Dean Student Welfare), a Havan Yajna was performed on the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Hans Raj with great devotion and enthusiasm in the institution, along with the commencement of the new academic session of the school section. The occasion was marked by the organization of a sacred Havan Yajna, invoking divine blessings for a prosperous and successful year ahead.

Mahatma Hans Raj Ji, the founding pillar of the DAV Educational Movement dedicated his life to spread knowledge and values rooted in Vedic principles. DAV institutions continue to carry forward his vision of combining modern education with moral and spiritual development. 

On this auspicious occasion, the school campus resonated with Vedic Mantras as the Havan Yajna was performed by learned priests. The Officiating Principal, staff members, and students actively participated in the ritual, offering ahutis and praying for wisdom, discipline and success in the new session.

Addressing the gathering, the Officiating Principal highlighted the life and teachings of Mahatma Hans Raj Ji, emphasizing his selfless service, simplicity and commitment towards education. Students were encouraged to follow his ideals and dedicate themselves to hard work and ethical values.

The ceremony concluded with the chanting of Shanti Path and distribution of prasad. The event not only marked the beginning of the new academic journey but also instilled a sense of cultural and spiritual awareness among students. The programme proved to be a meaningful tribute to Mahatma Hans Raj Ji and set a positive tone for the academic session.
