Social Sciences department of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala organized ‘Youth Parliament’  

Under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Mrs. Rupali Aggarwal (Program Convener), the department of Social Sciences organized ‘Youth Parliament’ in the college campus. 

During this mock youth parliament, the students efficiently presented the budget session 2026 in Punjab Vidhan Sabha, showing an engaging and insightful Youth Parliament Session to familiarize students with the functioning of democratic institutions and parliamentary procedures. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who took on the roles of Member of Legislative Assembly, Speaker, Chief Minister and Opposition leaders. 

The mock parliament provided a real-life experience of legislative functioning and decision-making processes. The Officiating Principal Dr. Meenakshi Duggal appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee and encouraged students to actively participate in such activities that promote awareness about democratic values and civic responsibilities. She further congratulated the students for participating in such reformative and futuristic events and wished them best for their future endeavors. The students were given certificates and prizes in the valedictory session. Mrs. Mandeep Kaur, Mrs. Navneet Kaur, Ms. Khushpreet Kaur, Mrs. Anjali and Ms. Kajal were also present on this occasion.
