 '5th Annual Fashion Show: Sui-Dhaga' organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Lucky Sharma (Program Coordinator), Mrs. Harpreet Aneja (Program Convener) and Mrs. Naiya Mahajan (Program Co-convener), the 5th Annual Fashion Show: Sui-Dhaga was organised in the college premises. 

The event featured a variety of captivating rounds, including the elegant CINDERELLA Gown Round by M.Sc Semester 4 (outgoing batch), the magical  Frock FANTASY Round, the energetic Skirt EDIT Round by UG Diploma (New and Foundation Batch), the ELEGANCE IN ETHNIC stylish Suits Round, and the traditional yet contemporary ROYAL Lehenga Round. Each segment beautifully highlighted the students’ design sensibility, craftsmanship, and artistic expression. The ramp came alive with graceful silhouettes, intricate detailing, and innovative styling, reflecting a perfect blend of tradition and modern fashion. In Cinderella Gown Round Ms. Jashanpreet Kaur and Ms. Arshdeep Kaur got first and second position, Ms. Priyanshu Chouhan got third position while Ms. Mandeep Kaur got appreciation award. In Royal Lehenga  Round Ms. Gurleen Kaur and Ms. Khushpreet Kaur got first and second position, Ms. Lalita got third position while Ms. Jasmeet Kaur got appreciation award.  In Frock Fantasy Round Ms. Himani and Ms. Khushpreet Kaur got first and second position, Ms. Simranjeet Kaur got third position while Ms. Lalilta got appreciation award. In Skirt Edit Round Ms. Gurpreet Kaur and Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur got first and second position, Ms. Harmanpreet Kaur got third position while Ms. Harsimran Kaur got appreciation award.   In Elegance in Ethnic Round Ms. Arshdeep Kaur and Ms. Priyanshu Chouhan got first and second position, Ms. Navjot Kaur got third position while Ms. Sukhwinder Kaur got appreciation award. The winners of the competition were awarded Certificate and medals in recognition of their outstanding performances and creative excellence. 

While addressing the audience, Officiating Principal Dr. Meenakshi Duggal emphasized the objective of the event to develop entrepreneurial skills in the girls to empower themselves while promoting social changes to modify the rigidity prevailing in traditions and customs of the society. The creativity of the students and faculty of the fashion designing department was highly appreciated on this occasion. The event concluded on an emotional note, especially for the outgoing batch, who expressed gratitude for the guidance, support, and memorable journey they experienced throughout their academic years.

At this Juncture, Officiating Principal Dr. Meenakshi Duggal extended her felicitation to the Fashion Designing department of the college for the successful completion of this most awaited event. Dr. Lucky Sharma conducted the stage while Mrs. Harpreet Aneja presented a formal vote of thanks. The program ended with some sweet, appealing and captivating memories of the event. All the faculty, Staff members and students were also present on this occasion.
