The Department of Botany undertook an educational visit to a local nursery under the guidance of Dr. Ritu Goswami (Incharge), to gain practical knowledge about gardening techniques and plant care. The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of environmental sustainability and horticulture practices.

 The Department of Botany undertook an educational visit to a local nursery under the guidance of Dr. Ritu Goswami (Incharge), to gain practical knowledge about gardening techniques and plant care.  The visit aimed to enhance students’ understanding of environmental sustainability and horticulture practices.

During the visit, the nursery experts demonstrated various gardening methods, including seed sowing, plant propagation, soil preparation, watering techniques and the use of organic fertilizers. Students showed keen interest in learning about different varieties of ornamental and medicinal plants.

This hands-on experience provided students with valuable insights into maintaining a healthy garden and encouraged them to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. The experts also guided students on seasonal plant selection and pest control using natural remedies.

Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal appreciated the initiative and emphasized on the importance of such educational visits in developing practical skills and environmental awareness among students. The visit proved to be highly informative for all participants.
