 Teej festival ‘ Dhiyaan Naal Tiyaan’ organized with aesthetic gaiety at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls Batala

Under the patronage of Dr Ekta khosla , Principal RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, ‘Youth Welfare Department’ of the college organized Teej festival ‘ Dhiyaan Naal Tiyaan’ under the able guidance of Dr. Indira Rani (Dean Youth Welfare department) in the college Campus. On this occasion Mrs Rajbeer kaur w/o Amandeep Singh Sherry Kalsi, MLA, Batala graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Principal Dr Ekta khosla extended a green welcome to the Hon’ble guest . Speaking on this occasion, Dr Ekta khosla emphasized on the need of Women Empowerment, as in today’s scenario no society can ever flourish without empowered and self-dependant women. She highlighted the cultural significance of the festival and represented the ‘ swing’ as the symbol of women , their hopes, aspirations and dreams. On this occasion, the students mesmerized the audience with their traditional dance performances, Bolliyan and Giddha.Various stalls of Mehndi , Rakhi, traditional jewellery and tempting food items attracted the gathering towards it. Kumari Amisha (BA Sem-III) got the title of Miss Teej on this occasion.

The chief guest Mrs. Rajbeer kaur shared her thoughts on this occasion and appealed the girls to be strong and empowered. She also congratulated the Principal for organizing such a wonderful event.
