 Film 'Tamas' screened by Punjabi Department of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala.

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Lucky Sharma (Head, Punjabi Department) and Mrs. Kulwinder Kaur, a film based on the novel 'Tamas', as it is included in the syllabus of the first semester was shown on the screen. 

The film portrays the riot-stricken Indian subcontinent at the time of the partition of India and deals with the plight of emigrants as a consequence of the partition. The students of M.A. (Punjabi) Sem. I, III General and Elective Punjabi watched the movie with full zeal and enthusiasm and tries to understand the plight of the masses in those tough times. After the film, the teacher discussed the theme of the film with the students to assess their awareness and analytical skills.

Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, appreciated this event and encouraged to have such inspiring events in the future as well. Dr. Navneet Kaur, Mrs. Bhawna Kashyap, Mrs. Mandeep Kaur and Mrs. Renuka Nayyar were also present on this occasion.
