 NSS Volunteers of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, visited Village Babbri Nangali to sensitize against Stubble Burning

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, NSS Volunteers of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, visited 'Village Babri Nangali' under the able guidance of NSS Coordinator Mr. Pankaj Kumar and Co-coordinator Mrs. Naiya Mahajan, as per the guidelines of 'Punjab Pollution Control Board, Gurdaspur'. The Volunteers visited the village to sensitize the masses against the Stubble Burning. 

The team provided detailed information to the villagers about the damage caused by stubble burning and urged them to stop this practice in future to protect the environment and human life from its harmful effects as it can cause 20% to 50% of the overall air-pollution and has destructive effects on soil-fertility also. Farmers also assured them that they will refrain from stubble burning in future.
