 '1st Punjab Girls Batalian ATC Eight Days Camps' Valedictory Function organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala 

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Col. A.D. Sharma (Commanding Officer, 1st PB (G) BN, NCC, Amritsar), Major Dipti, S.M. Gurdeep Singh, S.M. J.P. Yadav, Mrs. Simranjit Kaur (NCC Caretaker) and Dr. Poonam Rani, '1st Punjab Girls Batalian ATC Day and Night Camps' Valedictory Function is organized in the college campus. Brigadier Rohit Kumar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. He motivated the cadets to serve the nation. He explained the cadets that, we don't need particular set of skills to serve our nation, all we need is good intention. In this camp 473 Cadets from 13 school and colleges participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. During the camp, the cadets undergone the basic training skills like PT, Drill, Weapon training, Map reading along with the Grooming of the cadets to enhance their overall personality. 

The first day of the camp was the inauguration day in which the Commanding Officer Col. A.D. Sharma gave an inspiring speech to motivate the cadets and the aims and objectives of NCC were cleared along with the schedule and activities of the camp.

On the second day the cadets followed the given schedule which was fully packed with drills and lectures. The lectures and schedules including weapon-training, drills technical data of riffles, patrolling and other activities were performed accordingly.

Third and fourth day of the camp was dedicated to the physical activities along with developing the leadership and communication skills activities. Some sports activities were held like races, volleyball and other tournaments, to instill the sportsmanship among the new recruits & cadets.

Fifth and sixth days were devoted to the activities like drill practices along with the lectures on assembling-dissembling and self-loading of the riffles. A public speaking activity was also organized under the guidance of Ms. Neetu Seth, in order to improve the communication skills among cadets.

On seventh and eighth day, the cadets were given information about indication of landmarks riffle-shooting and other practice sessions were also continued for improving and enhancing cadet's reflexes and concentration. In the evening the cadets participated in cultural activities, during which they performed bhangra, group-dances, poetry recitation and singing contests etc. The cadets also shared their experiences of the camp. The camp concluded along with the beautiful memories and reminiscences of various activities. 

On this occasion, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the efforts and hard work of the entire team for organizing the camp successfully. She also encouraged the cadets to participate in such nation-building activities by preparing themselves for serving the defences of the country.
