 Birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda celebrated at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala 

As per the orders of Government of India and under the aegis of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal (Coordinator) and Mrs. Gurinder Kaur (Convener), a debate and declamation completion dedicated to the birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda was organized on the occasion of 'Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas'. At this juncture Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla graced the occasion as the chief guest while Mr. Vinod Sachdeva, a member of the local advisory committee, made a special appearance in the event.

While addressing the students, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla enlightened the students about the great tribal freedom fighter and unsung folk hero (Bhagwan Birsa Munda) who spearheaded a tribal religious movement and revolt in the late 19th century (during the British Raj) and became an important figure in history of Indian Independence Movement and inspired them to take inspiration from his life and personality. On this occasion the students participated in debate competition in which, Kumari Kangana and Kumari Rashmeet Kaur jointly won first place, Kumari Prabhjot Kaur and Kumari Ramneet Kaur jointly won the second place while Kumari Osaida and Kumari Vidyanti won the third place jointly. In declamation contest Kumari Diksha won first place, Kumari Kangana bagged second place and Kumari Purnima won third place while Kumari Sahajdeep Kaur won consolation prize. In this competition Dr. Lucky Sharma and Ms. Neetu Seth acted as judges. On this occasion Mrs. Simmi Sharma, Mrs. Rupali Aggarwal, Ms. Neha, Mrs. Renuka Nayyar and Mrs. Bhawna Kashyap were also present.
