BJP MP Mr. Sunny Deol gave Open Gym to RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala. Sh. Bal Krishan Mittal (Secretary, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi); Sh. Rakesh Bhatia (District President BJP); Sh. Vinay Sharma graced the occasion as the chief guests. Sh. Pankaj Joshi PA to Sh. Sunny Deol (MP) was the chief guest of the function. 

At the outset, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla and staff extended green welcome to the guests by presenting them planters. It was followed by the inaugural ceremony of 'Ayushi Club Open Gym for women' was inaugurated in the college 'Sports Complex' for the ladies of Batala done by Sh. Bal Krishan Mittal, Sh. Rakesh Bhatia and Sh. Vinay Sharma.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Rakesh Bhatia, extended his felicitations to Madam Principal for such an innovative initiative in Batala. He expressed that his party and he himself would always join hands in all such initiatives taken by the college. 

Sh. Bal Krishan Mittal expressed his immense happiness and pride at the inauguration of the 'Open Gym' and thanked Shri Sunny Deol and Sh. Rakesh Bhatia, due to whose efforts this project had been possible. 

On this occasion, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla shared that this Open Gym will benefit the women of the area. She also expressed that she plans to extend this project by adding a walking track in this ground. She extended her immense gratitude to Sh. Pankaj Joshi PA to Sh. Sunny Deol (MP) for their support and cooperation in helping the institution in initiating this project. 

The chairman of the local advisory committee, Sh. Rajesh Kwatra, also thanked the chief guest and the special guests and expressed that in future also he would be looking forward for such cooperation from Sh. Sunny Deol and his party.

The students of the sports department gave a stirring performance on yoga and the student of the music department delighted the audience with a melodious song. 

On this occasion, Sh. Heera Walia; Sh. Vinod Sharma; Sh. Bhushan Bajaj; Mr. Rajat Sareen; Members of Local Advisory Committee, Sh. Bharat Bhushan Aggarwal, Sh. Ashwani Marwaha, Sh. Shakti Khullar, Sh. V.M. Goel and the Principals of the D.A.V. institutes graced the occasion with their benign presence. At the end, Mrs. Simmi Sharma extended the vote of thanks.
