 Seven-Day Special NSS Camp ‘Valedictory Session’ organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Mr. Vinay Kumar (Program Convener), Mr. Pankaj Kumar (NSS Coordinator) and Mrs. Naiya Mahajan (NSS Co-coordinator), the 'Valedictory Session' of the seven day special NSS camp was organized in the college campus.

On this occasion, an eminent Educationist and Former Principal, Sh. S.S. Gill, President of Citizen Welfare Forum, Batala graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee was the Guest of Honour. Principal, Dr. Ekta Khosla and the organizers duly welcomed the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour with a green planter. On this occasion, Principal, Dr. Ekta Khosla, stated that these voluntary NSS activities allow students to become confident, develop leadership skills and prepare them to work hard even in adverse circumstances in different walks of life.

In the beginning of the session, NSS Camp Coordinator, Mr. Pankaj Kumar presented a brief report of the activities conducted during the Seven-Day Special NSS Camp. Later on, a participating student volunteer presented the details of the experiences and activities performed during the camp. At this juncture, the dignitaries along with Madam Principal, honoured the volunteers and resource persons with the appreciation certificates. While addressing the volunteers, the Chief Guest Sh. S.S. Gill emphasized that these special NSS camps help the students to understand their social responsibilities towards the society. Sh. Rajesh Kawatra also expressed his views on the importance of voluntary community services which help the youth in developing and shaping their personality and character. Priyanshu Chouhan and Sahilpreet were chosen the best volunteers during this camp.

Dr. Poonam Rani thanked everyone for the successful completion of this special NSS camp and presented a formal vote of thanks. The faculty and staff of the college was also present along with NSS volunteers on this occasion.
