54th Convocation Ceremony organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala organized its 54th Convocation Ceremony for the batches 2019-20 and 2020-21. Prof. (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar (Punjab) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while Sh. Bal Krishan Mittal, Secretary, DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi was the Guest of Honour. Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee along with all eminent guests of DAV family were invited as special guests on this most awaited juncture.

The ceremony started with the academic procession after the Guard of Honour by NCC Cadets. The procession reached the Auditorium and after the customary invocation song and lighting the lamp, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla, extended a hearty welcome to all the esteemed dignitaries, parents, faculty and graduates. She provided a vibrant and descriptive overview of the entrepreneurship skill enhancement courses, featuring innovative initiatives and achievements of the college in academics, curricular, extra-curricular and sports activities. After the formal green welcome and presentation of Annual Report by Madam Principal, the convocation was declared open and the degree conferring ceremony started for all the graduates and post-graduates. In this ceremony, 815 students from various departments got the degrees and 12 Golden Stars of the college were on the Roll of Honour. 

In his convocation address Prof. (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Guru Nanak, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar congratulated the degree holders for achieving a milestone in their lives in this prestigious DAV institution. Being a DAVian himself, he emphasized that time is precious and the young generation must adhere to it punctually for the upliftment of their society to bring desired changes for the betterment of humanity.  At this juncture, Sh. Bal Krishan Mittal, Secretary- DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi also showered his blessings and felicitations on the students.

Extending the formal vote of thanks Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee, thanked the eminent personalities, parents and graduates for sparing their valuable time and blessed the degree holders for their better future.  The convocation ceremony, buzzing with the sweet and joyous memories came to an end with the National Anthem.
