 International Mother Language Day observed at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Lucky Sharma (Head, Department of Punjabi), International Mother Language Day was observed in the college campus. On this occasion, 'Punjabi Books' Langar' was arranged for students and Punjabi readers with the support of Punjabi Lok-Likhari Manch, Batala. Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla graced the occasion as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the ceremony. Dr. Anup Singh, President (Lok-Likhari Manch, Batala), Dr. Ravinder, S. Sukhdev Singh Premi, Principal Raghbir Singh Sohal, Sh. Vargas Salamat were present at this juncture. 

While sharing her views Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla emphasized the importance of Mother Language in our lives and appreciated this initiative taken by 'Punjabi Lok-Likhari Manch' for the promotion and dissemination of Mother Language. She further hoped that this initiative would be beneficial for the students in getting connected and acquainted with Punjabi Language. 

On this occasion, the students prepared various posters and charts related to Punjabi culture and heritage and placed them at various places in the college campus so that the students could become familiar with the rich vocabulary of Punjabi language. In order to ensure the efficiency of these efforts, the teachers, principal and students of the Punjabi department took an oath to work hard for the upliftment and promotion of Punjabi Language. On this occasion Dr. Indra Rani, Mrs. Kulwinder Kaur, Dr. Navneet Kaur, Mrs. Navjot Kaur and Ms. Gurpreet Kaur were also present.
