 ‘Euphoria: Trade Fair-cum-Fete 2023’ celebrated with great gusto and enthusiasm at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala.

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Mrs. Supriya Duggal (Program Coordinator) and Dr. Lucky Sharma (Program Convener), ‘Euphoria: Trade Fair-cum-Fete 2023’ was organized with great gusto and enthusiasm in the college campus. Sh. Raman Bahl, Chairman, Punjab Health System Corporation, Punjab graced the occasion as a Chief Guest; Sh. Aman Sher Singh Sherry Kalsi, MLA, Batala was the Guest of Honour; Dr. Parul Mahajan, Renowned Gynaecologist, Batala was the special guest while Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, Chairman, Local Advisory Committee and other eminent LAC members, Principal from various school and colleges of District Gurdaspur, Media persons and the citizens of Batala were present in the inauguratory session. 

Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla extended green welcome to all the eminent guests present on the occasion and in her speech she highlighted the contribution of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala to society at large in educating the women of the region and around. She extended her felicitations on 200th Birth Anniversary of Swami Dayanand Saraswati Ji. 

Speaking on the occasion, Sh. Raman Bahl, the chief guest of the day, highlighted that women's education and women empowerment is the need of the hour and RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala is immensely contributing in this direction. He congratulated Madam Principal for the same. 

While sharing his views, Sh. Aman Sher Singh Sherry Kalsi, the Guest of Honour of the day, paid his sincere homage to great missionary Mahasha Gokul Chand Ji, the founder of the college and expressed his immense desire to build his monument at some central place in Batala. 

The chief guest launched the program by releasing the multi coloured balloons and declared the festivities open. The Star Singers Sh. Sukhdeep Gill and Sh. Jasveer Gill mesmerized the audience with the performances in the melodious voice. Besides, the major attractions of the day were Joy Rides, Grand Parents Show, Voice of Batala, Miss Punjaban, Cultural Items, Baby Show, Eatables' Stalls, Hourly Draw, Raffle Draw, Song of your Choice, One Minute Games Show and Skill Games. 

In the Raffle Draw session, Sh. Bal Krishan Mittal, Secretary, DAVCMC, New Delhi was the Chief Guest and Sh. J.P. Shoor, Director PS-I, DAVCMC, New Delhi was the Guest of Honour was the Special Guest. Mrs. Neelam Kamra, Regional Director, DAV CMC, New Delhi; Chairman and members of LAC and other eminent personalities of the region were present on the occasion. 

While sharing his views with the students, the chief guest Sh. Bal Krishan Mittal said that RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala is among the best colleges run by DAV Committee that are unfurling the flag of women empowerment with pride. The college is at the forefront in every field. 

The students enthralled the audience with their unbridled talent in various performances like Qawali, Gatka, Folk Dance etc. Raffle Draw were announced towards the end of the program. Sh. Rajesh Kawatra, Chairman thanked the chief guest and other guests for gracing Euphoria 2023 and felicitated the entire RR Bawa family for the great success of the program.
