 'International Plastic Bag Free Day' observed at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the stewardship of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Mrs. Ekta Bhandari (Incharge, Eco Club), International Plastic Bag Free Day was observed in the college premises under Eco Club in collaboration with IIC.

On this occasion, the students distributed the cloth bags in the vicinity of the college discourage the use of plastic bags and also advised the people to stop using plastic bags and replace them with cloth or jute bags. These cloth bags were stitched by the students of Fashion Designing Department under the supervision of Mrs. Harpreet Aneja. At this juncture, Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the initiative taken by the students and motivated them to participate in such campaigns to save environment. She further added that with such efforts we can play an important role in keeping the environment and surroundings clean. 

Mr. Anil Gupta, Ms. Ranjit Kaur, Ms. Gurpreet Kaur, Mrs. Naiya Mahajan, Ms. Rajwant Kaur, Mrs. Rupali Aggarwal, Mrs. Mandeep Kaur, Ms. Prabhjit Kaur, Ms. Sunidhi, Ms. Amanpreet Kaur and Mrs. Apneet Kaur were also present on this occasion.
