'1st Punjab Girls Batalian Ten Days Annual Training Camp organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala
Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the able guidance of Col. K.K Jadeja (Commanding Officer, 1st PB (G) BN, NCC, Amritsar), adm. Officer Major Poonam Ikka, Mrs. Simranjit Kaur (NCC Caretaker), Dr. Poonam Rani and Dr. Sohan Lal, '1st Punjab Girls Batalian ATC Day and Night Camp was organized in the college campus from 25th September 2024 to 4th October 2024. In this camp 487 Cadets of 21 Schools and Colleges from Gurdaspur, Dhariwal, Amritsar, Tarantaran, Pathankot and Dinanagar participated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The primary objective of the Camp was to provide these young cadets with an invaluable exposure to the Regimented way of life and equip them with essential military training skills, such as drill, firing, physical training (PT), and yoga. Additionally, the cadets received comprehensive guidance on soft skills crucial for succeeding in today's dynamic world.
The camp also featured an array of informative and inspiring guest lectures delivered by officials from diverse departments, including the Traffic Police, Women Police, Cyber Safety Wing of the Police Department, Fire Fighting Department, Punjab Skill Development Mission and Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited. These sessions enlightened the cadets about the latest policies, safety and security measures, career opportunities and the pivotal role of youth in building a robust society.
Throughout the camp, the cadets were engaged in numerous competitions that fostered a strong spirit of sportsmanship and underscored the significance of physical fitness, planning, teamwork and cooperation. Their active participation in these activities demonstrated their commitment for achieving their goals and honing their leadership skills.
The camp reached its pinnacle when Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla graced the final day as the chief guest and commended the cadets for their relentless hard work dedication and enthusiasm. She also appreciated the efforts and hard work of the entire team for organizing the camp successfully and encouraged the cadets to participate in such nation-building activities by preparing themselves for serving the defenses of the country.
The camp concluded with a vibrant prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the achievements of the cadets in various competitions. The Commanding Officer delivered the closing address lauding the cadets for their perseverance and encouraging them to continue striving for excellence.
The success of the Combined Annual Training Camp - 10 has instilled a profound sense of pride, self-discipline and teamwork in the cadets. With such dynamic training opportunities, NCC cadets are not only preparing for personal success but are also becoming integral contributors to a strong and progressive society.
