Legal Awareness seminar ‘Vidhan Se Samadhan’ organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala.
Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal (Coordinator) and Mrs. Bhawna Kashyap (Programme Convenor), a legal awareness seminar ‘Vidhan Se Samadhan’ was organized in the college campus, as per the instructions of NALSA. The programme was organized in collaboration with NCW, Batala and Anganwadi workers in which Madam Ramaneet Kaur Civil Judge (Senior Division)-cum Secretary District Legal Services Authority Gurdaspur along with Panel Advocates –cum-Resource Person Rufsa Sabharwal and Madam Bindu discussed various issues related to domestic violence, harassment for dowry, atrocities on women, physical abuse and cruelty, acid attack, rape, etc. and provided detailed information about various schemes of NALSA.
Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla formally welcomed the resource persons with green planters. Addressing the gathering at this juncture, madam principal encouraged the students to identify their strengths and overcome their shortcomings as the women also enjoy equal rights under the Indian Constitutional Law. On this occasion, all the students of PG Department along with faculty members were also present.
