 'Natya Utsav' organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the stewardship of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the aegis of District Heritage Society, Gurdaspur, 'Natya Utsav' was organized in the college premises in collaboration with Indian International Rural, Cultural, Centre, New Delhi. The Department of Youth Welfare of the college organized this mesmerizing Kathak Dance event in the college auditorium to celebrate the rich cultural traditions of India for promoting classical art forms among students.

The program commenced with a soulful invocation to Lord Nataraja, the cosmic dancer, symbolizing rhythm and grace. Ms. Nayanika Gangani (Kathak Dance Artist) presented captivating performance reflecting the elegance, discipline and storytelling essence of Indian classical dance.

Principal Dr. Ekta Khosla appreciated the efforts of District Heritage Society, Gurdaspur for preserving and promoting the nation’s cultural legacy. She highlighted that such performances not only refine artistic skills but also instil confidence, discipline and cultural pride among learners. The audience was enthralled by the expressive gestures, rhythmic footwork and graceful movements that adorned the stage. The event served as a reminder of the timeless beauty and spiritual depth of Indian classical dance traditions. At this juncture, Sh. Parminder Singh, District Guidance and Counselling Officer and all the faculty members along with the students were also present.
