 ‘Constitution Day’ was celebrated at R.R. Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala.

As per the directions of Government of India and under the stewardship of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the supervision of Mrs. Rupali Aggarwal (Program Convener), ‘Constitution Day’ was celebrated in the college campus. Hon’ble Shri Harpreet Singh (Chief Judicial Magistrate cum Secretary District Legal Service Authority, Gurdaspur) graced the occasion as chief guest. He had very interactive session with students & answered the queries of students regarding the Constitution. Shri Nitin Kalia, (Panel Advocate) and Shri Surjit Singh (PLV) expressed their views and gave detailed information about the Preamble of the Constitution, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties and Directive Principles of State Policy.  NSS Volunteers and NCC cadets also participated in this event. All the faculty and staff members were also present on this occasion. The main objective of this event was to make the students aware about the basic structure of the Constitution, Preamble, Fundamental Rights, Fundamental Duties, Directive Principles of State Policy and its core democratic values.
