RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala shines at Zonal Youth Festival-2025

RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala, has made a remarkable mark at the Zonal Youth Festival-2025, organized by Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. Under the able leadership of Officiating Principal Dr. Meenakshi Duggal and able guidance of Mrs. Deepti Kanda (Dean Youth Welfare), Miss Udesh Kumari (Coordinator) and Dr. Hardeep Kaur (Co-Coordinator), the college team participated in various events and brought laurels to the institution. The students showcased their talent in events such as Giddha, General Dance, Non-Percussion, Percussion, Mime, Poster Making, Elocution, Debate, Phulkari, Rangoli, and Costume Parade, securing several positions. The college won first position in Debate, second position in Giddha, Non-Percussion and Quiz and third position in Folk Dance, Costume Parade, Geet and Poster Making.

The objectives of such activities are to promote cultural and artistic talents among students providing them a platform to showcase their skills and creativity. This is a way to learn teamwork, leadership and better communication celebrating cultural heritage and traditions. These outcomes also align with the institution's goals of fostering holistic development, promoting cultural awareness and nurturing talent.

Principal Dr. Meenakshi Duggal congratulated the participants for their outstanding performance and the teachers-in-charge for their guidance and support.
