A Nukkad Natak 'Jinda Lash' performed at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala.
Under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Principal of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the aegis of Mrs. Deepti Kanda (Dean, youth welfare Department), Ms. Udesh Kumari, Dr. Hardeep Kaur and Sh. Pankaj Kumar (Coordinator NSS Department), a powerful and thought-provoking Nukkad Natak ‘Jinda Lash’ on drug abuse was presented by the Baba Nam Dev Natak Manch in the college campus to spread awareness about the harmful effects of drugs among youth. The programme was organized within the college premises with an aim of educating students about the physical, mental and social consequences of substance abuse.
Through impactful dialogues and emotional performances, the performers highlighted how drug addiction ruins health, careers, and family relationships. It also conveyed a strong message that awareness, self-discipline, and family support are essential to overcome this menace. The performers effectively depicted the journey of a young student who falls into the trap of drugs and later looses his aim and life both.
The Offg. Principal Dr. Meenakshi Duggal appreciated the efforts of the performers for organizing such a meaningful activity. She emphasized that educational institutions play a vital role in guiding young minds towards a healthy and drug-free life. At this juncture, all the faculty and staff members along with students were present.
