 The PG Department of Fashion Designing of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala organized a creative Tie and Dye workshop under the guidance of Mrs. Harpreet Aneja (Head of the Department) to promote traditional textile art and enhance students’ artistic skills. The activity witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their creativity by experimenting with different tie and dye techniques and vibrant colour combinations. During the workshop, the students were guided about the basic methods of tying, folding and dyeing fabric to create unique patterns such as spiral, stripes and circles. The participants displayed great interest while learning this traditional craft which reflects the rich cultural heritage of India.

The Officiating Principal, Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, appreciated the efforts of the organizers and emphasized that activities like tie and dye not only nurture creativity but also help students to understand the value of traditional crafts. On this occasion, Mrs. Naiya Mahajan, Ms. Neha, Mrs. Sonia, Ms. Komalpreet Kaur, Ms. Baljinder Kaur and Ms. Kamaljit Kaur were also present.
