 The Department of Fine Arts of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala successfully organized a vibrant and creative Poster Making Competition on the theme “Commercial Advertising” under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal and under the guidance of Mrs. Deepti Kanda (Head, Department of Fine Arts). The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who showcased their artistic skills and innovative ideas.

The competition aimed to enhance students’ creativity. The participants beautifully expressed advertising concepts through eye-catching visuals and unique designs. The atmosphere was filled with creativity as students used colors, textures and imaginative layouts to design impactful posters. Mrs. Supriya Duggal judged the artworks on the basis of originality in relevance to the theme, presentation and overall appeal. In this competition, Ms. Gurneet and Ms. Harnoorpreet got first prize, Ms. Arpanjot and Ms. Arshpreet bagged second prize while Ms. Simranjit, Ms. Muskandeep, Ms. Jobanpreet and Ms. Sukhmanjit received third prize jointly.

Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal appreciated the efforts of the Department of Fine Arts for organizing such a meaningful activity that nurtures artistic talent and practical knowledge among students. The winners were felicitated with certificates, while all participants were encouraged for their commendable efforts. The event proved to be a great platform for students to explore their creative potential and gain insight into the dynamic field of commercial advertising.
