The Department of Science successfully organized a counselling session on career opportunities in the Food Corporation of India (FCI) under the guidance of Dr. Ritu Goswami (Head Department of Botany) in the college campus, featuring Mrs. Jagdeep Kaur, Assistant Grade-III (Technical) in Food Corporation of India, a distinguished alumna, as the keynote speaker. The session aimed to guide students about recruitment procedures, job roles and career growth in FCI. Ms. Jaspreet Kaur, student President of Botanical Society welcomed and introduced the resource person.

Mrs. Jagdeep Kaur shared her personal journey and experiences, providing valuable insights into the functioning of FCI and the preparation strategies required to crack competitive examinations. She emphasized the importance of dedication, time management and staying updated with current affairs.

The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions and clarified their queries regarding eligibility criteria, exam patterns and future prospects. Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal appreciated Mrs. Jagdeep Kaur for her efforts in mentoring students and inspiring them to pursue careers in various public sector.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Navneet Kaur, student Secretary Botanical Society, acknowledging the efforts of the resource person, Mrs. Jagdeep Kaur and thanked her for the valuable guidance provided by her.
