The NCC Cadets of RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala participated in a Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at ITI College, Ram Tirath Road, Amritsar from 9th April to 18th April, 2026, under the aegis of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal and under the guidance of Mrs. Simranjit Kaur (NCC Caretaker). The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from NCC cadets representing various colleges.
During the camp, cadets underwent rigorous training sessions including drill practice, weapon training, physical fitness exercises and personality development activities. The camp aimed at instilling discipline, leadership qualities, and a spirit of patriotism among the cadets.
Providing the detailed information about the selection process during the camp Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, stated that Ms. Sania and Ms. Mehak Mehta were selected as Best Cadets, Ms. Arshdeep Kaur got selected for singing while Ms. Sumanpreet was selected for Drill. Ms. Sania and Ms. Sumanpreet were selected in map reading, Ms. Lakshmi Devi was selected in obstacle training, Ms. Rebika and Ms. Shikha were selected in firing while Ms. Mehak Mehta was selected in health and hygiene. At this juncture, Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal congratulated Mrs. Simranjit Kaur (NCC Caretaker) and her team for this marvellous achievement.
The Commanding Officers and training staff appreciated the cadets for their hard work and commitment. They emphasized that such camps play a vital role in shaping the future leaders of the nation. The camp concluded on a high note with a closing ceremony, where selected cadets were congratulated and encouraged to continue striving for excellence.
