 A seminar held on “Intellectual Property in the Digital Age” at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

 

Under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma (IIC, Vice President), the IIC of the college successfully organized a seminar on the topic “Intellectual Property in the Digital Age” to spread awareness about the significance of protecting creative and innovative ideas in today’s digital world. The event was conducted in connection with “World Intellectual Property Day”. The resource person Dr. Hardeep Kaur, delivered an informative session on various aspects of IPR, including patents, copyrights, and trademarks, and their growing importance in the era of digital transformation. 

The speaker highlighted key issues such as online piracy, plagiarism, and misuse of digital content. Special emphasis was laid on the need for ethical practices while using digital platforms and safeguarding original work. The role of technology and AI in shaping modern intellectual property challenges was also discussed. On this occasion, faculty was also present.
