Under the patronage of Dr. Meenakshi Duggal, Officiating Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Mr. Harish Kumar Sharma (IIC, Vice President), the IIC of the institution organized an insightful seminar on the topic “Role of Technology in Nation Building” to mark the celebration of “National Technology Day”. The event aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of technology in shaping a progressive and self-reliant nation.

The resource person  Mr. Vinay Kumar, delivered an engaging session highlighting the role of technology in various sectors such as education, healthcare, agriculture, and industry. Emphasis was laid on how emerging technologies like AI, digital platforms, and automation are transforming the socio-economic structure of the country. The speaker also discussed India’s significant technological achievements, including the historic Pokhran-II Nuclear Tests, which symbolizes the nation’s scientific advancements. The seminar was highly interactive, with participants engaging in discussions and gaining valuable insights into the role of technology in modern society.
