 International Lecture on 'Punjabi Bhasha: Parchar Ate Parsar' organized at RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala

Under the patronage of Dr. Ekta Khosla, Principal, RR Bawa DAV College for Girls, Batala and under the guidance of Dr. Indra Rani (Incharge), an international lecture was organized on the topic of 'Punjabi Bhasha: Parchar Ate Parsar' in the college campus. On this occasion, the chief guest S. Harjinder Singh (Civil Judge, Batala), Special Guest S. Rajinder Singh Hundal (Jail Superintendent, Gurdaspur), Dr. Meenakshi Duggal and Dr. Lucky Sharma attended the lecture. The Keynote Speaker of this ceremony S. Dharam Singh Goraya (Migrant Writer & Historian) graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Principal madam formally welcomed the chief guest and special guest by giving them green planter.

While addressing the gathering, Dr. Paramjit Kalsi (District Language Officer, Gurdaspur) discussed in detail about the importance of Punjabi Mother Tongue and the contribution of Punjabi literary writers to the society in the series of 'Punjabiyat-2022' (a special event) and inspired the audience to take inspiration from these great personalities. Giving the keynote speech, Ustad Ghazalgo Sulakhan Sarhadi ji provided information about the personality of S. Dharam Singh Goraya, his literary journey and his contribution to the literature. He presented ghazals on religion, politics and satire. After this, S. Dharam Singh Goraya shared his views on the historical characters in Punjabi language and answered the queries of the gathering present there.

On this occasion S. Rajinder Singh Hundal and S. Harjinder Singh shared their views on Punjabi language and 'Virsa' along with its technical aspects and conveyed their gratitude towards the modern historians for the up-liftment of Punjabi language. In the end all the guests and dignitaries were honoured with mementos and appreciations letters. At this juncture, historians, teachers and students were also present.
